I remember being recommended to the loc...So true. <br /><br />I remember being recommended to the local psychiatrist by my family doctor. I waited in the office and filled out the necessary insurance paperwork and finally met the pdoc. He handed me a clipboard with a series of questions and I had to answer them on a scale from 1 to 10. <br /><br />Once done, he added up the scores, pulled out a drawer full of medications and handed me a blister pack of Effexor. "Take this for a week", he said, and wrote me a script for more medication - higher dosages. "Then take THIS after the first week". <br /><br />"But don't you want to hear about my childhood or find out why I'm feeling this way to begin with?" I asked....<br /><br />"No, we don't do that here. We're strictly psychopharmacologists".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
